Highland Sportsman Club Membership requirements
The following are the general membership requirements for new members as outlined in rules and bi-laws.
1. Sponsorship by 3 current members. In many cases the initial application is done with one sponsorship and you obtain other signatures by people you meet at club events.
2. There is a minimum of a 6-month probationary period and applicants must attend 6 meetings or events, and work at a minimum of 2 work parties. Keep in mind that according to the bi-laws we are limited to 150 regular members so the applicant may have to stay on the waiting list for a longer period than these 6 months.
3. The applicant will interview with the board of Directors
4. At a club meeting the sponsor will introduce the applicant and the applicant will speak about background and interest in club membership, and the applicant will be voted on at that meeting.
5. The applicant will pay an application fee at the time of application and will pay prorated dues for that year based upon membership month.
Additionally, for those folks that would like to join however do not know anybody to sponsor them we would recommend they consider participating with the Wild Turkey Association, Ducks Unlimited, and or NRA events as we have many members that are involved with those organizations.
